Monoprint on 22” x 30” BFK Rives acid-free cotton rag paper.
Monoprints are hand colored on an acrylic sheet, using aqueous acrylic and/or oil based archival inks, working the ink on the plate to create an image, and then hand pulled (printed) on an etching press to create an impression and transfer the ink to paper.
Multiple layers and different ink viscosity/sheen interact to create complex and subtle variations and texture within a single image that are only possible with this process. On some prints, a subtle embossment of the edge of the plate being pressed into the paper is visible to a keen eye.

Every screen is different, and while every technical effort is made to accurately photograph and display the art’s color and tonality, inevitable variations in color calibrations across different device screens means that your screen may display colors slightly differently than the original piece you will receive.
